Rachel Cook
Program Director
Rachel Cook grew up on a small farm in central Kentucky, where her appreciation for trees and the outdoors began as she played along the forested creeks. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences from the University of Kentucky in 2019. While at UK, she was involved in many tree-focused and sustainability organizations. After graduation, Rachel spent 6 years as botanist for the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves. Rachel is very excited to bring her knowledge and experience of the natural areas of Kentucky to the city of Lexington.
