Our Events

Trees Lexington events are open to anyone who desires an active role in learning about, caring for, and increasing Lexington's tree canopy. We educate and empower people to get involved by joining us for a tree walk, our monthly "Tree People Meet Up" social hour, and of course our tree planting, mulching, and pruning events. Interested volunteers can track their participation to become a Trees Lexington Tree Steward and advance their knowledge and skills, and increase their involvement. Community participation is key to growing a flourishing tree canopy for all of Lexington. We welcome people of all ages and abilities.  The Lexington tree community knows no bounds!

Join us to mulch 27 Kentucky native trees at the "East Grove at Shropshire", Trees Lexington's first large scale planting from the spring of 2022. Mulching trees regularly helps prevent weeds, protects roots and trunks, while also holding moisture and returning nutrients to the soil.
