Megan Seifert
Board Member, ISA Arborist
Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Megan moved to Lexington in 2013. She earned degrees in Wildlife Science B.S., Virginia Tech, 2005 and Plant Biology PhD, University of Florida, 2013. Her passion for native plants and sustainable landscape practices led her to the green industry, where she has a decade of experience with expertise in horticulture, design, and landscape maintenance. She joined Bartlett in March 2023. Prior to her role as Arborist Representative in 2025, she held positions as Plant Health Care Specialist and Arborist.
Megan is a nature enthusiast and phytophile (i.e., plant lover). Whether collecting sticks, sowing seeds, designing with plants, or observing pollination, she finds solace and inspiration in caring for and learning about plant life. When not immersed in greenery, she shares her love of the outdoors, food, art, and travel with her husband, Ashley, and daughter, Ella. For physical well-being, her go-tos are lap swimming and yoga. She enjoys being active within the community, volunteering locally at schools, neighborhood groups and community gardens.
