About the event
Great things are happening at STEAM Academy, and we'd love to celebrate Pollinator Week with you by showing them off! Join Trees Lexington's Tyson Gregory and STEAM Academy's Dr. Mike Lauer for this exciting walk! What was an empty field has been planted with 37 Kentucky native trees that will provide endless educational opportunites to STEAM students, valuable canopy cover in the 2nd Council District, increase "green views" that have been shown to improve both grades and mental health of students, and all of the other wonderful things trees do. Adjacent to the planting site is a quarter-acre pollinator garden planted by Dr. Lauer, another area packed with educational opportunity and ecological benefits. Come and see for yourself the incredible difference that we can make by planting trees and other plants that benefit pollinators!
Registration is not required. There will be no access to facilities during this event.
