OUR PROJECTS

Like our trees, Trees Lexington! is always working towards meaningful growth.  We do this by developing and executing projects that aim to incorporate trees and their value into various different community interests.  These projects are all  funded by local & national grants, sponsorships, & community donations.

THE POCKET NURSERY

Happening all around Lexington!

The Pocket Nursery is a program designed by arborists & approved by local homeowners. It puts the power (and the fun!) of growing trees into the hands of local residents while also providing reliable, high-quality education from local tree care professionals, every step of the way.

LET'S PLANT 200 TREES FOR JAKE!

Lexington, Fall 2020

There has been such a wonderful outpouring of love since the passing for our friend and the co-founder of Trees Lexington!, Jake Gibbs.
It was his passion to get trees in the ground. So we are doing just that - 200 to be exact. We'd love your help!
If you would like to adopt and plant a tree in Jake's honor, please fill out the survey below. We will be providing the trees and best plating and pruning practices. Trees will be available for pickup Fall 2020, more info to come.

NEIGHBORHOOD TREE PLANTINGS

Lexington Neighborhoods

Trees Lexington! is leading projects in neighborhoods across Lexington to provide the coordination and resources necessary for both public and private property tree plantings.

TREES + RESEARCH

Local Schools & Universities

Trees act as excellent bridges between the social and natural sciences. Trees Lexington! is working with Frederick Douglas High School to build academic research opportunities for urban foresters and soil scientists that will contribute to experiential learning opportunities for students and community members alike.
